Kisses

Neville loved to give mommy kisses, but not the typical kiss you think of from dogs tongues out licking. Neville would press his lips to mine. He would also give the licking kisses on my arm or leg, but his preferred go to was lips. I would ask him for a kiss and he’d eagerly run over and me a kiss most of the time, if he wasn’t preoccupied of course.

When Neville knew treats were coming, he’d start to get super excited and start giving me kisses in rapid succession. I absolutely loved and adored these moments and of course always encouraged them. He’d also give me a kiss first thing in the morning when we were just waking up. He’d often ask for belly rubs or pets right after before we’d get up. He also thought it was funny to wake me up by licking my lips if I wasn’t waking up fast enough for his liking.

I tried multiple times to get him to give kisses to his other fur siblings and he came very close once but overall, kisses were reserved for mommy. We even perfected what I called the spiderman kiss where I would bend over looking through my legs and ask him for a kiss like the scene in spiderman where spiderman kisses Mary Jane while hanging upside down from his web.
